Bikeways Best Practices Workshop Recap

The project team hosted an online Street Design Best Practices Workshop for the public on the evening of June 23rd, 2021. The workshop provided background on international best practices for safe and sustainable cycling. It encouraged participants to imagine how Salt Lake City’s streets can be reimagined to create more comfortable, walkable, bikeable spaces that support businesses and the community. Workshop participants gave feedback on how they believed the public right-of-way should be prioritized in different sections of the study corridors (Main Street from 700 South to the S-Line, and West Temple from 2100 South to 3300 South), and how the streetscape design should reflect those priorities.
